A homeowner in Bradley Beach, NJ had a Cape Cod home with a large kneewall that was being used for storage, but the space was not properly insulated for that purpose. As a result, it was also causing cold, drafty rooms in the winter and hot rooms in the summer. To solve the problem, we created a Super Kneewall system for this large area by installing Foamax boards along the roofline and floor joists, dense-packing cellulose insulation behind the Foamax, and sealing all areas with foam to stop air leaks. The upgraded kneewall is now properly insulated for storage while helping create a more comfortable home and lowering energy bills.

This homeowner in Allenhurst, NJ had an attic that was leaking air creating hot rooms in the summer and cold rooms in the winter. We accessed the attic and found fiberglass insulation that was blown-in. Blown-in fiberglass insulation is very porous especially when it is open and exposed. After pulling up the fiberglass insulation we found the attic was not air sealed.

Our team came in and removed the old blown-in fiberglass insulation and began to air seal the attic with orange ZypFoam sealant. We also fixed the ventilation baffles as some were clogged and falling off. Once air sealed and properly ventilated we blew-in TruSoft cellulose insulation. This homeowner now has a properly insulated attic and a more comfortable and energy efficient home.

This beautiful home in Allenhurst, NJ features a stunning wraparound porch, but it was also the source of major leaks. With no insulation in the porch ceiling (or overhang), outside air was leaking in, and costly conditioned air was leaking out. When we opened up the overhang, we found no insulation at all; just empty space allowing year-round discomfort. Our expert team installed SilverGlo foam boards along the overhang walls and carefully sealed all seams and gaps to stop air movement. Because this area supports the second floor, the lack of insulation was also causing cold floors in winter and hot, stuffy rooms in summer. After insulating and sealing the space, we restored the porch ceiling, helping the homeowner enjoy greater comfort and lower energy bills.

This homeowner in Allenhurst, NJ was dealing with cold floors and drafts on the second floor, especially along the back corner and side of the home. Our inspection uncovered a small bump-out with its own attic space that was letting cold air enter through the adjacent walls. By accessing this area, we identified and sealed the leaks by installing rigid foam board with a radiant barrier along the walls and using foam sealant to block unwanted airflow. We then air sealed the remaining attic areas and added blown-in cellulose insulation to achieve the proper R-value. The result is a more comfortable, well-insulated home with improved efficiency and lower energy costs.
