A homeowner in Brick, NJ had a crawl space that was poorly insulated. Looking at the before picture we can see the exposed floors and walls. Our solution is to fasten our SilverGlo insulation panels onto the exterior walls of the crawl space. The concrete walls are porous and by insulating the walls we can help create a thermal barrier for the house. Also we spray foam the rim joists to help air seal the exterior walls. This will help keep out any unwanted air from seeping into the crawl space. Next we install our CleanSpace Encapsulation liner across the floor. Finally our team of experts installed our Sedona dehumidifier to maintain the humidity of the crawl space. This homeowner now has a properly insulated crawl space that will make this homeowner’s house more comfortable and energy efficient.

This is a typical attic in a 1970's age home in Neptune, NJ. The before picture shows the 2x6x16 ceiling rafters with 3" fiberglass insulation batts between rafters. The AFTER pictures shows the same area, picture taken from a storage deck, but shows approx 17" of cellulose insulation installed. 

The original insulation at 3" with numerous gaps, voids and depressions was functioning at approx R-5 as rated by the Building Performance Institute. The installed cellulose functions at an effective R-60+, which is considered optimum in this climate.
