Crawl Space Evaluation Reveals High Humidity in Long Branch, NJ
During our free home evaluation in Long Branch, NJ, we found the crawl space was leaking and causing humidity levels to climb as high as 85%—well above the recommended 45–55%. The open vents were letting in hot, humid air and extreme temperatures, creating conditions that can lead to musty odors, poor air quality, and even dry rot. To help fix the problem, we recommended sealing the vents, spray foaming the rim joist, insulating the cinder block walls, and installing a vapor barrier. These improvements can keep moisture under control, protect the home’s structure, and create a healthier, more comfortable living environment.
