Crawlspace Evaluation Reveals Moisture and Comfort Concerns in Sea Girt, NJ
During a free home evaluation in Sea Girt, NJ, we inspected this crawlspace and used thermal imaging on the foundation walls in early spring. As the seasons change, porous cinderblock walls can allow moisture, cold air, and hot humid air to enter the crawlspace. This can lead to cold floors, excess humidity, and potential mold growth throughout the year. By insulating the walls with rigid foam board, spray foaming the rim joists, and adding a vapor barrier if needed, we can help keep the crawlspace more stable and prevent future problems.
