Insulating a Leaky Adjacent Attic Wall in Middletown, NJ
This attic kneewall was letting conditioned air escape and outside air in, causing cold winters and hot summers. We insulated the adjacent wall with rigid foam boards, added a radiant barrier, sealed every seam, and used fire-rated materials around the chimney while air sealing and insulating the rest of the attic. Now the home stays comfortable year-round—and energy bills are lower!
