Sea Girt, NJ Garage Cantilever Insulation Upgrade Eliminates Cold Floors
In Sea Girt, NJ, a poorly insulated garage cantilever left a homeowner with cold floors in the hallway and laundry room. The joist bays were stuffed with fiberglass, which does little to block air or insulate effectively. We removed the fiberglass and installed SilverGlo foam boards with a radiant barrier, then air sealed the bays to stop cold air from leaking in under the cantilever. This upgrade eliminated the cold floors, making the home more comfortable and energy efficient.
