These customers in Rumson, NJ had a mouse issue in the attic of their house. The animals had been inhabiting their attic and been using the old fiberglass insulation as their personal bathroom! After destroying the attic, they had the mice removed by an exterminator, then called on The Home Comfort & Energy Experts to come and insulate their attic the right way! After a complete cleanout of the old and nasty insulation, we were able to start with a clean and fresh palette. Now after a full cleanout, air sealing and insulating the attic went smoothly and allowed for a full 16" of cellulose to be blown across the whole attic. Meaning the home will now be operating as efficiently as possible and protecting the occupants from the extreme winter temperatures. The best part about using cellulose for these customers was the fact that the cellulose will now deter(but won't kill) any other rodents or insects, protecting the whole house and not causing them to die and decompose in the insulation! We also took care of the home's leaking duct system, which is now completely encapsulated by 2" silverglo board and sealed with spray foam!
