Photo Album: Large Attic Insulation in Bay Head, NJ
This customer in Bay Head, NJ has a large attic that they use for their seasonal storage. It has a large plywood walking deck and little to no insulation underneath it, leaving the inhabitants unprotected from the outside. When they contacted Dr. Energy Saver about insulation solutions, they were excited they would have the opportunity to keep their storage space while having the proper insulation in their attic. They opted to have us install a super deck which is plywood on top of 2" polyisocyanurate board. Under the foam board has been densely packed with cellulose insulation, around the deck cellulose is just laid on the attic flats. Laying 16" of cellulose brings the R-Value of the insulation to R-60, the maximum recommended level.
