In 2012 I will…
- Clean my air filters every month and change them every three months
- Clean any debris away from my outdoor units
- Raise the temperature settings in my house when I can to save energy and money
- Install a programmable thermostat
- Make appointments to have my HVAC system professionally serviced twice a year—once before the cooling season and once before the heating season
- Consider installing Energy Star appliances to save energy and money
- Check regularly for gas and refrigerant leaks
- Move any furniture that is blocking the flow of air in my home
