Attic and Crawl Space Insulation in Eatontown, NJ
Challenge
This homeowner in Eatontown, NJ needed help with their attic and crawl space. The owner expressed to us that their floors were cold. This is an indication that the crawl space is lacking the proper insulation. Also our customer stated the rooms of the house were cold and drafty, not to mention uncomfortable in the summers or too hot. Cold drafty rooms and an uncomfortable house can also mean the attic is poorly insulated.
These issues are just many of what our customers endure throughout the lifetime of a house. When our team inspects a home we make sure we get a whole approach to the solution. Our question is, why wait so long to make your home comfortable. If you’re living in an uncomfortable home, why not fix the issues and be comfortable.
Solution
When inspecting the homeowner’s house we found the crawl space and attic poorly insulated. Our solution for this customer’s crawl space was to remove the old fiberglass insulation. Next we spray foamed the rim joists, fastened our SilverGlo insulation panels to the exterior foundational walls, installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation Liner System With Drainage Matting to the floor and used our orange ZypFoam sealant to seal all the seams of the CleanSpace Liner and the seams of the SilverGlo insulation panels.
For the attic we first removed the old fiberglass insulation and used our orange ZypFoam sealant on any open gaps, holes or openings in the attic floor to properly air seal the attic. Next we spray foamed the attics rim joists and installed our SilverGlo insulation panels to any adjacent walls or “Kneewalls”. We used our orange ZypFoam sealant to seal the gaps or seams of the SilverGlo insulation panels. Finally our team blows-in our TruSoft Cellulose insulation into the joist bays to complete the attics insulation.
These images are all from the before stages so our customers can see what an attic and crawl space should not look like.
