Andrew, our customer contacted us because their home in Shrewsbury, NJ had a strong odor, cold floors and a crawl space with mice nesting in the old fiberglass insulation.
Solution
After the homeowner had the exterminator finish the pest process, our team came in and removed the old fiberglass insulation. Next, our crew spray foamed the rim joists and installed our SilverGlo rigid foam panel insulation onto the exterior walls. Finally we air sealed all the seams of the SilverGlo insulation with our orange ZypFoam sealant. Also our crew installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to prevent mold and to reduce musty odors. giving you a healthier indoor air quality environment.
Our homeowner now enjoys a comfortable house, odors are reduced, crawl space suitable for storage, warmer floors, lower fuel, healthier indoor air quality, lower fuel and electric bills.

We are looking at old fiberglass insulation that does next to nothing to insulate or stop air from entering the house. Our customer had mice droppings on the floor and a musky or odor that was related to rodent feces and urine.
Looking at this fiberglass insulation we can see that rodents chewed through the fiberglass insulation. We even have evidence of rodent droppings and urine in the insulation with a smell or odor emitting from the insulation.
